Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Great communication via phone, text and online service tracker which was very up to date. Also, they over delivered on their estimate for completion, having the car done in half the time promised (was ready in 1.5 hours vs 3 hours estimated). Prices seemed reasonable and I was able to pay via secure link that was texted to me. This was important because I have the credit card being used, but I had to be somewhere else. I paid the bill online and my wife was then able to go and pick up the vehicle without my presence.

Dropped my car off for an AC repair. They call they tell me a radiator hose is torn and I need a new one that the car isn’t working because of this. Okay fine. I pay almost 600$ to get this fixed. The AC still isnt working on the RIDE HOME FROM THIS REPAIR and my car overheats! So I call back in drop off they tell me that I have 2 more radiator hoses broken and that and that it’ll be 350 to fix. They’re claiming in the TEN MINUTE DRIVE HOME I tore 2 more hoses and there’s now 3 codes on my car. I don’t know what they did but I took it home and I’m having someone else look. My car went from just needing Freon to whatever tf this is.

0/5 stars. Went to have a wheel and tire taken off my car and a new wheel mounted and balanced and put on the car. The tech “eyeballed” the wheel and lug nuts and told me they don’t fit. It’s the same wheel but just a new one. How don’t they fit if they just came off the car? They tried telling me something was done by someone else to make them fit and I told him that’s untrue. I got home and test for everything myself and voilà, everything fits perfectly. Called the store back and asked what happened and that everything fits and he said the tech said it doesn’t. I asked if they tried it on the car and he said no.. that himself and the tech tried on the ground and couldn’t. They didn’t want…

I am not a Karen lol, usually ashamed to make reviews like this but truly this was one of the worst experiences Ive had of costumer service. Dont waste your time here or money. My entire family used to come here for years, I had an expectation that I would be treated great since I was going without my dad who took care of all of that for me until he passed. Went with my mom and they completely took advantage of our situation, I knew I had a major leak, explained it to them, showed them pictures, and they still tried to upcharge me and fit things that were not necessary or I did not ask for. Still I payed due to my lack of knowledge, and the the manager knew of this, he took advantage of the…

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the Pep Boys on George Dieter in El Paso, primarily due to an employee named Zeke. My visit started on a hopeful note, as I needed my 225/50/R18 tire mounted on my 360Z rim. I had checked online beforehand and confirmed that the tire was in stock, which is why I chose to go there. Upon arriving at the store, I was met with an unexpected delay. Zeke was on the phone, seemingly engrossed in a personal conversation with his girlfriend. I waited patiently for about a minute, hoping he would finish up and assist me. However, when he finally ended the call, his demeanor was less than welcoming. He didn’t greet me or show any indication that he wa…
