Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Went there to get my two back tires balanced, and they said my lugs were striped. Not i was a diesel mechanic for the army for 3 years and I dont think if the lug threads on smoothly and tightens down I dont think that is stripped.

Do not come here, worst customer service, stank attitude, manager was wearing like 3 masks and mumbled the entire time, makes you feel like you being there is a drag and acting like they are not paid to be there, worst pep boys I’ve ever been to hopefully higher ups look into the quality of this store because that is very embarrassing on pep boys brand. Come here if you want to waste hours of your day!

So I took my work van here to the Pep Boys because my battery was dead after about a day or two. The battery died again so I took it back and told them that there’s something wrong with it. It has to be some type of short or something else wrong with the manager proceeded to tell me that sometimes batteries come that way and they don’t work so I said OK New battery. I took it home later same thing happen. I told him that you really need to check it out this time definitely a short it’s just the battery. Proceeded to have this problem for the next few months until I took it to Pep Boys on Gateway in Yarborough and they found a short and now they’re fixing it

Mechanic Angel and shop manager Ernie really took care of me, the only day I had available to switch my tpms sensors was this afternoon and they accommodated me graciously. They took me right in and worked on my car, even stayed after hours to finish it. It’s much appreciated!

If I could give this store a lower rating I would. Took my vehicle for a check engine light and was told that they would do a diagnostic test on it. I asked what type of diagnostic test they did to come to the conclusion of what my vehicle needed, and the service employee said that they connected a scan tool to measure the readings on the vehicles thermostat. Upon connecting a scan tool to it he said that they read the temperature readings and said that they needed to replace the thermostat in the vehicle. They charged me $110.80 for this service the same kind of service and readings that I could get from going to autozone and getting that information for free. But yet they have the audacity…
